“We’re glamping in the rain, just glamping in the rain…”
If the ongoing forecast for rain has put a literal dampener on your holiday plans, fear not. Many holidays are only improved by changes in the weather – none more so than glamping.
How? If you want to watch the natural world come to life, just add water! Everything looks greener and more vibrant, while that fresh ‘just-rained’ smell is almost addictive when you’re surrounded by magical woodland.
Not to mention the fact that snuggling up inside as raindrops drum on the roof is one of life’s cosiest pleasures… especially when paired with the warmth of a woodburner, or a steaming mug of hot chocolate.
The added luxuries of glamping only elevate these simple pleasures to brand-new heights. Covered barbecues and on-site restaurants mean you won’t have to rely on sodden supplies, while cosy communal spaces furnished with books and games will help you while away some fun time indoors.
And how about a hot tub dip or wild swim to add a little indulgence to a downpour?
These wonderful glamping retreats aren’t just suitably unusual. Each one features activities or facilities – or both! – that turn summer showers into something to look forward to.
