  • Minimum stay: 3 nights

Perfectly nestled in the rural Cornish village of Widegates, Lydcott Glamping offers you the chance to explore all the enchantment of Cornwall, far away from the tourist bustle.

Positioned next to a friendly working farm, the glamping cabins offer outstanding views of an awe-inspiring and ever-changing landscape. Rise to incredible scenes of the shimmering Seaton Bay over morning coffee – on a clear day you may even catch a glimpse of the Eddystone Lighthouse!

Better still, the gorgeous glamping cabins you’ll discover here are the first of their kind in the UK, and are almost as visually breathtaking as their surroundings. Each one is expertly crafted in traditional Nordic design, from natural materials including spruce and aspen. Oh, and some cabins are also deliciously named… seriously, who wouldn’t want to stay in cabins called Prosecco, Jam First, and Clotted Cream?

Choose from a cosy couple’s cabin that sleeps two, or larger cabins that sleep up to six if you’re bringing the kids. One of the site’s newest additions, Dreckly is particularly special, with a kingsize and double sofa bed, and a tranquil woodland ‘secret garden’ waiting outside.

While Pilchard and Clotted Cream can each sleep up to five (if the kids are happy to share!), if you just can’t bear to leave anybody off the list, new addition Proper Job is the largest cabin of the lot.  Here you’ll find a large double bed, a seated dining area converting into a kingsize bed, and a cosy double sofa bed for the kids.  Complete with an extra-large window for epic sea views, and a private, hammock-furnished ‘sunset spot’, you’re all set for family holiday heaven.

Whichever you choose, your cabin is fitted and furnished with stylish comfort in mind, including ensuite facilities with fluffy towels, a well-equipped kitchen – and naturally, downy beds.

Head outside to discover your very own private garden area at the back of each cabin, featuring a firepit and barbecue, complete with seating for late-night stargazing over toasted marshmallows. Each cabin also includes a decked area at the front for wonderful sea views!

What the guests of Lydcott Glamping say

“We stayed at Lydcott Glamping last week in the beautiful ‘Prosecco’ and we absolutely loved it, and even booked an extra night whilst we were there. Every single detail has been beautifully thought out and ‘Prosecco’ has everything you could want and so much more. It is more like pampering than glamping! It is so light and airy and very spacious. From the most comfortable extra large bed with a fabulous picture window, to the amazing shower room with piping hot shower and the well laid out kitchen with absolutely everything provided, you will have the most luxurious stay. Emma and Rich are wonderful, totally respect your privacy but are on hand for anything if required. Every detail of the layout, the decking with seating and amazing views and the firepit area is just perfect. It’s such a tranquil location but a perfect base to get around to some amazing places like Looe, Polperro, gorgeous beaches and eateries, even Newquay is only a short 45 min drive, fistral beach there is a must. Can not recommend Lydcott enough and we really cant wait to return. Thank you Emma and Rich for our pampering.”

“What a fabulous place to stay. I stayed in the smaller of the 2 cabins “Prosecco” – it is so cute and surprisingly spacious inside. It was immaculately clean and airy, the bathroom / shower is first class, the bed is huge, incredibly comfortable with lovely quality linen and all of the little personal touches make it a unique and unforgettable experience. The little kitchen is great with everything you could possibly need and the fire pit area is great for a barby in the evening. The location is perfect, it is very quiet and peaceful with the most gorgeous views during the day and starlit sky with no light pollution at night. To top it all the hostess Emma is lovely and goes out of her way to make sure everything is simply perfect for your stay. The gorgeous little town of Polperro is just a short drive away and is an absolute must see while you are there. I can’t recommend Lydcott Glamping highly enough – 5 stars.”

“Our stay at the Pasty was absolutely spot on for this long Easter weekend! The fire pit was all set and ready to be used when we arrived. The view is stunning. The equipment is perfect! We’ll recommend it to anyone. Great for relaxing! Last but not least Emma was very welcoming and helpful. Enjoy!”
