Urban London Yurt
City and country beautifully combine, in a friendly and tranquil glamping experience set in the heart of London.
If you're struggling to choose between a city or a country location for your next escape, why not combine the two?
You'll find Urban London Yurt in Highgate, a refreshing London neighbourhood complete with gorgeous ancient woodland and plenty of cultural interest (Karl Marx is famously buried in the local cemetery).
Tranquil and scenic, you can relax amongst all the soothing pleasures of nature. Yet with the nearest tube stop a mere two minutes away, the lively buzz of the city is almost literally on your doorstep - ideal if you're the type who gets easily bored on holiday!
The yurt is located in a private garden, and you'll be warmly greeted on arrival by friendly owner Katherine, who lives in the adjoining house with her son and their two even friendlier cats. You'll have your own separate garden entrance, and your privacy will be completely respected throughout your stay...though you may well be visited by the cats on occasion!
The yurt sleeps up to four people in rustic and secure comfort, with luxurious touches that include a solid wood floor, vibrant Persian rugs and two cosy double sofa beds (one of which is ideal for the kids). There's also electricity and WiFi, along with a kettle and plenty of water for that all-important morning cuppa - and a small fridge to store milk and snacks. And in case you are wondering about the cold, there's a convector heater which warms the yurt up beautifully.
While there are no cooking or dining facilities available inside, with
so many wonderful places to eat just minutes away, why on earth would
you need them?
If you're in the mood to indulge yourselves in London's unique opportunities for shopping, dining, sightseeing and culture, then you've certainly come to the right place. In twenty minutes you can find yourselves in the heart of the city, while the renowned Camden Market is ten minutes away.
Enjoy taking in all the lively delights of London to your hearts' content, and when you're finally exhausted, simply return to your peaceful yurt, make yourselves cosy at home and listen to the squirrels scampering on the roof.
As you gaze up at the stars in the evening sky and you listen to the owl's hooting in the adjacent ancient woodland - pinch yourselves. Yes, you're still in London, and yes, you get to do it all again tomorrow!
