Juniper is a beautifully-converted railway wagon, primed for a magical escape into pure Welsh nature.
Occupying private pride of place on a rewilded Powys farm, the wagon is peacefully surrounded by wildflowers and rolling green views that seem to stretch out forever. It’s the perfect setting to switch off and slow down awhile, as you relish precious time spent with your loved one.
You’ll feel relaxed even before you’ve stepped inside, with Juniper’s glorious green hues blending beautifully with the rural landscape beyond. And once you do step inside, you could feel tempted never to leave. Handcrafted, space-saving details, including a clever foldaway dining table, meet butter-soft furnishings and warm, locally-sourced timber finishes, for an instantly welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.
Better still, every convenience has been carefully thought through, so you’ll have everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. There’s a bespoke-crafted, well-equipped kitchen, and a shower room with a heated towel rail to warm chilly mornings up a treat. You’ll also have irresistibly comfy Parker Knoll wingback armchair to help you get lost in a good book, and a downy double bed for sound nights of slumber.
Meanwhile, outside awaits an indulgent world of wonder, in the form of an Edwardian rolltop bath – with bubble bath and soft waffle robes provided – to help you welcome the sunset in style. Later on, make the most of the area’s Dark Sky status by lighting your firepit and toasting marshmallows under a twinkling canvas of stars… bliss.
If you do feel inclined to explore, you won’t be short of options. Just beyond Juniper’s elegant and comforting confines, the three-mile farm walk offers an ideal introduction to your surroundings, leading you through ancient woodland and tranquil meadows that teem with bees, butterflies, and birds.
You’re also perfectly placed to discover the beating heart of rural mid-Wales, by heading into the nearby Elan Valley… in fact, why not pack a picnic and spend the whole day marvelling at its shimmering reservoirs and jaw-dropping natural scenery?

What the guests of Juniper say
“The view was incredible, the host Natalia was so amazing and attentive, gave us food on arrival and a huge hamper.
I will definitely be back, incredible stay!” Aimee
“We had the most wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate my birthday. The accommodation was gorgeous and unique, from the cosy fire to the beautiful outdoor bath and every detail made it feel so special. The thoughtful welcome hamper with fresh eggs, milk, juice and other essentials was such a kind gesture. We also loved the little helpful notes around the property, they really showed how much care and thought the owners have put into making guests feel at home. Natalia gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived and regularly checked to make sure everything was perfect. We had unexpected car problems, the owners went above and beyond to help and offered advice on nearby walks. Their kindness and genuine care made our stay unforgettable and we can’t wait to come back. Many thanks.” Keely and Jamie
