Expertly crafted for blissful seclusion, a stay at The Cave is to immerse your senses in a heady combination of ancient magic and modern luxury.
You’ll feel like you’re entering a whole new world, as you make your way past the soaring Jurassic wall, straight into a peaceful Kentish garden. Here you’ll discover a sumptuous lounge area made for cosy chats under the stars, complete with a mesmerising water feature, and an open firepit for storytelling and marshmallow-toasting.
The Cave’s sculpted interiors, meanwhile, evoke an immediate sense of calm, where soft wood-and-stone textures meet lovingly-crafted, detail-rich décor. Perfect for a small family or group of friends, there are two double beds and a cosy bunk to choose from, all seamlessly built into the space.
One double bed is positioned below an enormous glass skylight, especially for those who adore watching the vast, ever-changing sky above, while not one but two bathrooms mean nobody will have to queue.
Whip up feasts in the fully-equipped kitchen, which also features a hand-crafted concrete sink, before unwinding in the underfloor-heated, soft-lit lounge. Simply light the log-burning stove in winter, or switch on the air conditioning during summer, for all-year-round comfort. There’s Wi-Fi and a Smart TV to keep you nicely entertained, too.
Of course, you may prefer to wander through the scenic patio doors and spend balmy summer evenings out in the tranquil open. If so, the second private garden space is home to a hand-built concrete hot tub, pizza oven, and plenty of comfortable seating space for everyone to eat, drink, and stargaze at their leisure.
It could be a hard decision, but should you choose to venture away from your luxurious Cave, why not pack a hearty picnic and get exploring? Kent is renowned as the ‘Garden of England’, with lush green landscapes beautifully contrasted with a sweeping coastline. There are plenty of historic attractions for you to enjoy, too, so each day of your holiday could feature something completely different from the last.
