Stewton Stars Hideaway is a dreamlike, digital-free sanctuary for stargazers, nature-lovers, and anyone who isn’t prepared to compromise on luxury… even when holidaying deep in the countryside.

You’ll find this boutique glamping retreat peacefully nestled in the midst of the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds, joyfully surrounded by nature including foxes, badgers, deers and abundance of all kinds of birds. Minimal light pollution means you’ll also be treated to star-sprinkled dark sky views so spectacular that on clear nights, you could even see the Milky Way.

Each private glamping haven is named after a constellation, lovingly styled and furnished for blissful relaxation in nature. Whichever you choose, you’ll also have your very own bathroom – with a power shower, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries – just a short, well-lit walk away.

The largest cabin, Orion, sleeps up to four guests for family-friendly adventures or two friends sharing: elevated among whispering trees and with an enormous deck for lounging with your loved ones (not to mention a ready supply of games and activities for the younger ones!).

Hydra and Taurus are exclusive adults-only retreats designed for romantic getaways: each one a soft-lit, beautifully styled glamping dome with an indoor bathtub for indulgent bubble-soaks before stepping into the soft fluffy robes and slippers provided. You’ll also have a private fairy-lit terrace overlooking the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and a magical garden filled with plants, trees and flowers to help you while away some time under those incredible starscapes. Hydra even boasts its own modern bathroom and kitchen facilities – so you’ll have no need to leave your private sanctuary (trust me – you won’t want to!)

Last but by no means least, The Little Bear and Lyra are sumptuous glamping cabins situated in woodland, both perfect for romantic stays in nature and boasting stylish rustic furniture and individually bespoke décor. Lyra also boasts a log burner inside and fire pit on the private terrace – perfect for unwinding with your loved one.

Extra delight comes in the form of purpose-built ‘Solis Terrace’ – a shared space for the three cabins – providing the perfect peaceful space to catch the sunset and stars in all their glory. Wrap up in the blankets provided, sink into the lavish egg chairs and toast marshmallows by the fire whilst day turns to night.

In fact, whichever haven you choose, the treats just keep on coming. Your private al fresco space comes complete with a gas-fired barbecue for sizzling pre-stargazing suppers, and soft blankets are supplied for snuggling under the stars. Electric blankets are provided for your bed, too, just in case the weather takes a turn and all retreats are fully heated to ensure a super cosy stay whatever the season.

And since this is glamping rather than camping, you’ll have a full kitchen set with everything from a kettle to cutlery, plus a mini-fridge for essentials. Speaking of essentials, there’s a well-stocked tea and coffee station on hand, too.

For more elaborate feasts, the communal kitchen and dining space features gas ovens, microwaves, toasters… and laid-back dining space for up to eight guests: the perfect excuse to chat with friends you haven’t met yet, over hearty home-cooked meals!

What to do after morning coffee steeped in birdsong, and an energising yoga session on your private terrace? Journey deeper into the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visit the market town of Louth, or roll out your towel at iconic seaside resorts including Skegness and Cleethorpes.

Things to note

Pets are not permitted to stay, to protect the abundant local wildlife. Children must be aged 8 or over. This is a tranquil space focused on stargazing and relaxation in nature, so group bookings are not possible and loud noise/parties are not permitted. The glamping retreats do not have Wi-Fi so guests can enjoy a full digital detox, but a good 4G and 5G mobile service should be possible. (Wi-Fi is available in The Old Coach House, also on site).
