Sublimely located on the sweeping coast of Wester Ross, at the point where three ancient sea lochs meet, there’s a blissful, other-worldly feel to time spent at 57 Nord.
Not only is the area one of the least-populated in Europe, but the dramatic sea-and-mountain scenery is truly spectacular… a veritable ‘Best Of’ everything the Scottish Highlands have to offer.
Elevated high on a rich hillside, Hill House is inspired by traditional Scottish hill-dwellings known as ‘shielings’ – a word that derives from the Old Norse for ‘shelter’. A celebration of modern Scandinavian and Scottish craftsmanship, Hill House is designed to immerse and restore guests in nature.
Sleeping up to four guests – four adults, or two adults and two children – this is a deeply restorative experience. Honest, natural materials and an earthy, interior colour palette mimic and reflect the incredible surrounding landscape. This is a place to slow down, reconnect and rediscover the luxury of slow living.
Boasting two sumptuous suites with bespoke super-king beds, 600 thread-count sheets (twin beds are also available on request), and in-room stone bathtubs with jaw dropping views. Sensory luxuries galore include organic skincare from Swedish LA: Bruket.
Foodies are well catered for with a delectable welcome hamper packed with locally-made artisanal products, such as freshly baked sourdough, Highland fine cheese and freshly ground speciality coffee. The in-house honesty bar is equipped with sommelier-selected wines and is perfectly paired to local produce.
You’ll also have a wood-burning stove to help you unwind inside, as panoramic windows frame views of Loch Duich, the soaring Kintail Mountains, and the iconic, 13th century Eilean Donan Castle.Keep reading
