Sleep under nature's star-studded canvas at the Starhouse, a lovingly handbuilt, glass-roofed dome house set in the Black Mountains of Wales.

The Starhouse is perfectly located in the heart of the Black Mountains, close to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Beautifully handmade and blissfully secluded, you'll find this unique dwelling all ready and waiting to offer you a star-filled experience under a clear, dark night sky.

The Starhouse represents a true labour of love by its friendly, rural-loving owners, who designed the 4m diameter home themselves and painstakingly constructed it from local stone and glass panels, to contain everything you'll need for a cosy off-grid country stay.

Sleeping two people in comfort (with room for two small ‘extras' if needed!) you'll find the Starhouse equipped with a small woodburning stove, a sink and an outdoor kitchen, together with a terrace that's ideal for that first morning coffee, and a barbecue for sizzling suppers by sunset.  A warm gas shower and a flushing toilet are separately housed close by.

Together with a soft glow from the woodburning stove, battery-powered lighting provides plenty of evening illumination, creating the perfect setting to catch up with your loved one in calming comfort. Forget distracting WiFi and telly, this is your chance to log off from the digital world and focus on nothing but the here and now.

When it's time to turn in, head for the bed raised on stilts to maximise those exceptional panoramic views and help you feel completely relaxed amongst the beauty of nature. A sound night's sleep under the stars is almost guaranteed.

If you're looking to truly immerse yourselves in the natural world, you'll be in heaven at the Starhouse, beginning with the opportunity to greet a few woodland visitors during your stay.  Think curious squirrels and the occasional owl!

Then, it's time to get out and explore this beautifully untamed part of the world - so make sure you've packed plenty of warm clothes, sturdy boots and that all-important camera.

Take a long ramble through the mountains, lakes and woodland this enchanting area of Wales is famous for, not forgetting to plan a pit stop at a local pub.'ll need to refuel if you're expending all that energy in the fresh country air!

The nearest town is Abergavenny, with the station located around twenty minutes away if you'd like to travel slightly further afield. But once you've arrived at the Starhouse, and experienced the immense beauty of the surrounding area - not to mention that of life lived blissfully in the slow lane - we're pretty confident that you won't want to!
