Full description
Run away with the circus, in an authentic showman's carriage that's perfect for two, secluded on a rural Shropshire estate.

Now owned by former circus performer Nink (hence the name), Nink's Wagon is a genuine showman's carriage that dates all the way back to the 1920s.

Once the travelling home of the circus ringmaster himself, you can expect a unique retreat for two that would once have been referred to as a ‘palace on wheels'!

You can even bring the dog along, to help you fully appreciate the surrounding Shropshire countryside. Nink's Wagon is beautifully secluded amongst 60 soothing acres of farm estate grounds, with wildlife-steeped woodland and a beautiful lake a mere stroll away (this is an ideal setting for lazy picnics - bring your binoculars for a spot of birdwatching, too).

Nink's Wagon itself is full of olde-worlde charm and character, and its grandly painted exterior is sure to raise your spirits as you arrive!

Step inside to discover three rooms, all furnished with an eclectic sense of style, and packed with quirky accessories. The wooden panelling and painted ceilings provide a real sense of much so, you're likely to feel as though you're resting in between circus performances!

The kitchen is equipped with an ornamental vintage stove, and basic cooking equipment including a kettle, microwave, and toaster (there's a barbecue for sizzling sunset suppers, too).

You'll find the panelled lounge room complete with its original cupboards and cut-glass mirrors. These help to create a magical atmosphere by evening, with softly twinkling lights and a crackling log burner to soothe your souls. Why not break open a board game and a bottle of wine, and chat the night away with your loved one?

When it's snoozing time, simply wander along to the built-in raised bed, which is both ridiculously cosy, and an ideal viewing platform for the hand-painted and gold leaf decorations on the ceiling.  Meanwhile, bathroom facilities are housed in a heated cabin just a short walk away.

Sit out in the fenced cottage-style garden with your morning coffee, as you plan out the day ahead. There's a lot to mull over, with Ellesmere and its beautiful lakes just minutes away, or how about a visit to Chirk and Whittington Castles...or even a round of golf on the nearby course?

Jump in the car to visit plenty of other local gems, including the Stiperstone Hills, Ludlow, and the exquisite medieval town of Shrewsbury.

Though you may just decide to take that aforementioned lazy picnic down to the lake, or enjoy a woodland stroll with the dog, before firing up the barbecue and settling in for an evening of stargazing in the clear night sky.

(Circus travelling is such energetic work, after all!)
