For unforgettable glamping with the family, get set for an expedition to Bear Lodge. After all, with the Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve at your feet, you're in for a roar-ing success of a holiday!

Bear Lodge features 19 spacious safari-style tents that certainly put the ‘glam' in glamping. Each appears as if straight from the Serengeti itself, with pitched canvas roofs, welcoming wooden decks and ‘walls' the colour of the Sahara sand. There's even a neighbouring family of meerkats on site!

Once you've stepped inside your magnificent tent, any preconceptions of traditional camping will be banished instantly. In fact, you may forget you're in a tent at all, thanks to the solid decking floors, full-height ceilings and every creature comfort you'd easily expect at home. Tents sleep six to eight guests, and with separate sleeping arrangements - including a double bed in a charming cabin hideaway - you can all enjoy a comfy night's sleep under canvas, without a single roll mat in sight.

Every detail is included for a stress-free stay, from all the bedding and towels you'll need to the pots and pans in the kitchen. Yes, each tent even has its very own kitchen area, complete with wooden worktops, a butler sink and a sideboard filled with cups, plates and glasses. Enjoy your meals at the comfy rattan dining table, and curl up afterwards in front of the wood-burner, sharing a campfire story or two for good measure.

And, as if your tent wasn't spectacular enough already, you'll also be treated to some of the most sensational views from your front deck. As well as basking in a glorious panorama of the English Channel, the whole family will love to watch the goings-on in the wonderful spectacled bear paddock.

You won't have to wait long before you can get even closer to the animals, as your visit to Bear Lodge also includes free admission to Port Lympne throughout your stay. You'll even have the chance to take part in a range of afterhours activities, including evening walks and evening safaris, giving you the opportunity to see the park in a whole new light.

As well as the 700 animals who make Port Lympne their home, there are also a whole host of other opportunities to make your holiday truly unforgettable. The kids will love some prehistoric adventures in the onsite Dinosaur Forest.

Learn what it's like to be a ‘Keeper for a Day' for some of the world's rarest animals, or get the full-on Serengeti experience with an unforgettable safari. In all, thanks to the incredible range of activities on offer, your stay at Bear Lodge can be exactly what you make it.

There's also more to enjoy even closer to your tent. As Bear Lodge is a secure, gated site, your little animals can go wild in the play area while you relax back on your deck, or enjoy a well-deserved drink in the Clubhouse Bar. The onsite restaurant serves plenty of family favourites, made from home-grown and locally sourced ingredients, and there's even the opportunity to assist the chef as he cooks up a storm on the Mongolian grill! Or, for the ultimate hassle-free stay, order takeaway pizzas from the Boma Café. It doesn't get simpler than that.

With so much on offer, it's easy to see why Bear Lodge is so popular with families of all ages. So whether you're visiting with your pride of little ones or perhaps bringing a pack of older ones, you're all guaranteed a totally wild, totally memorable and totally unique stay at Bear Lodge.
