Newly Added

New to Host Unusual: Architectural Wonders, Wartime Bunkers, an Award-Winning Highlands Cabin and More

22 December 2021

Rich in both beauty and fascination, each one of our newly-added retreats has a unique story to tell.

For example, The Captain’s Cabin, is the brainchild of an architect and an interior designer; an elliptical, nautical-themed retreat that occupies the entire flat roof of an old chapel, boasting epic views over the Sound of Mull.
Meanwhile, dating back to 1943, and surrounded by thriving nature, Cocondo is a creatively restored wartime telephone bunker that forms part of a captivating Hook of Holland monument.
Add to that a sumptuous West Sussex treehouse, lovingly handcrafted around mature oak trees on a friendly farm, a gorgeous circular haven nestled in the Scottish Highlands (voted ‘Britain’s Best Holiday Let’ by The Times, complete with scenic wraparound deck, sunken hot tub, and a private pier!), and lots more from cosy cabins to converted churches and roomy houseboats, you won’t be short of inspiration for your next getaway.

To discover these amazing newly added retreats, and lots more besides – simply read on!
