  • Bathrooms: 6
  • Minimum stay: 3 nights

Sleeping up to 19 guests, East Church House provides a truly breath-taking setting for groups of family and friends to congregate in style.

Overlooking Allison Green in the historic market town of Strathaven – a burgh of barony, no less – the views from the church are both beautiful and peaceful, with a charming ‘country village’ feel.

Inside, the style is an intriguing mix of old and new, with sumptuous furnishings and high-end fittings complementing the church’s original features, which include the original pulpit and stunning full-height stained glass windows.

Accommodation is generously spaced across three levels, with nine individually styled bedrooms that are perfect for couples and families (don’t worry if any of your guests struggle with stairs, as a lift can be made available on request).

You’ll find some of the bedrooms on the ground floor, including three superking rooms, one of which features en-suite facilities, and a twin and triple room. There’s also a relaxed games space that teens and young adults are sure to love, complete with a slate bed pool /snooker table, and a rustic seating area with oak barrels.

Head up to the central floor to discover the main entrance hall, adorned with artwork on display from the John Hastie Museum Trust.

This floor is also home to a superking bedroom, a magnificent open plan space with plush seating and a woodburning stove, further casual lounge areas, and a fabulously equipped kitchen with island seating (perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and a chat with the nominated cook as they toil away!)
