Host Unusual Retreats as seen on TV’s Four in a Bed

20 March 2025

Aired on Channel Four since 2010, Four in a Bed (previously Three in a Bed) is an addictively watchable game show involving different B&B owners across the UK.

For those few who haven’t seen it, four B&B owners take it in turns to stay with each-other. They all offer their honest feedback on hosting, facilities, sleep and food, then pay whatever they think is fair – which isn’t always the owner’s asking price! – at the end of their stay.

At the end of the week, payments are counted up and the winner is declared ‘Best Value B&B’, with a shiny gold plaque to prove it.

More and more Host Unusual properties have featured on Four in a Bed in recent years, so we’re proud to present a unique selection here. From luxury yurts to back-to-nature tree-tents, and idyllic garden glamping to ornate wagons, you won’t be surprised that these unusual retreats were deemed worthy of screen time.

In fact, if you watch the episodes concerned, you’ll hear wondrous words like, “I want to move in!” “It’s not a dome… it’s a home,” and “wow, this is so cute and cosy!” You may even hear talk of celebrity guests, including David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff.

Most of all, though, you’re sure to be wowed by this incredible selection of unique TV-featured retreats – the only potential issue will be choosing which one to stay in!
