Getting everyone together for a long overdue catch-up holiday?
OK, you could book yourselves into a tried-and-tested hotel. But where’s the novelty – not to mention the amazing photo-ops – in that?
Glamping is a fabulous way to relax and reconnect with your favourite people. Not least because it’s centred around the Great Outdoors, and who could fail to unwind when the wonders of nature are so beautifully close?
Waking up to a chorus of birdsong, then admiring a melting golden sunset over chilled glasses of wine is all but guaranteed to soothe your souls and lift your spirits.
Meanwhile, if you think al fresco living is code for “roughing it” – you’re wrong! Glamping is a far cry from the traditional campsites of yore… and by that we mean putting up your tent in the rain, then wandering across a muddy field to a draughty facilities-block.
Along with ‘proper’ beds and flushing loos, some sites offer sublime luxuries that include wood-fired pizza ovens, private firepits (ideal for storytelling with toasted marshmallows!) and stargazing hot tubs.
Many also host a programme of events, workshops, and activities that mean everyone will have a chance to enjoy themselves just as they like…
…though if all else fails, you’ve got plenty of scope for giggle-fuelled conversations out in the open air, under gorgeous blankets of sun and stars!
