  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 3 nights

Peacefully nestled between the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland Heritage Coast, the award-winning Beacon Hill Farm comprises sumptuous accommodation amongst 360 glorious acres of unspoilt rural heaven.

Steeped in authentic Iron Age history, you’ll also discover a shimmering lake, a 40-acre beech wood, and plenty of lush greenery to help soothe your weary souls.

Meanwhile, stargazing is set to be particularly magical, since Beacon Hill occupies a superb position on the border of Dark Sky Park.

And it’s on the south side of the aforementioned beech wood, that you’ll find the site’s newest retreat, the contemporary, ultra-stylish Luxury Treehouse… a childhood fantasy that’s all grown up!

Clad in burnt Siberian larch, the striking retreat is elevated amongst the trees on corten rusting steel columns, with mirrored glass windows, and panoramic views that lead your gaze all the way from the coast to the Pennines.

Private and self-contained, there are sleek, well-equipped kitchen and shower facilities, while cutting-edge accessories include electric curtains that you can operate right from your downy, south facing super-kingsize bed.

The elegant lounge features a huge, squishy chaise-longue-style sofa, ideal for gazing at those amazing country views as you reconnect over a glass or two of wine. And of course, there’s plenty of scope for al fresco relaxation, with a south-facing balcony and a sun-drenched dining patio for sizzing suppers, all at your disposal.

More information

While it’ll be tempting to hole yourselves up completely in your opulent hideaway, don’t be too hasty! Beacon Hill also features a magnificent spa and beauty salon that’s just a short stroll away… just put your slippers on, and make your way through the gardens.

Here you can do lazy laps in the heated swimming pool, or if that sounds too energetic, unwind in the black granite-walled steam room or Canadian redwood sauna instead! There’s also a showstopping Laconium therapy room, with heated beds and paradise-like garden views… utter bliss.

Rather get stuck into the Great Outdoors? There’s also a selection of on-site activities that range from tennis and football, to riding and fly fishing.

But if you absolutely insist on exploring further afield, there’s plenty to whet your appetite for natural beauty, including Northumberland National Park and Kielder Forest, and some of the loveliest beaches you’ll set your sandy feet on. Many have been voted amongst the best beaches in the UK, including nearby Embleton.

Wear yourselves out on the beach, rambling through the forest, or visiting Downton Abbey-esque National Trust houses (or simply relaxing in the spa) before returning to your private Treehouse for a sundowner on your beautiful balcony.
