Indeed, Cornwall is the setting for the legend of King Arthur (not to mention Poldark), and amongst surroundings so naturally majestic, it’s not hard to see why. With all those traditional Cornish cream teas, piping hot pasties and tempting seafood platters on offer, you can feast like royalty too.

The beauty of Cornwall isn’t only found in its vast natural landscapes, but in its diversity. There’s literally something to suit everybody here!  Not only can you ramble along windswept cliff tops and coastal paths, try your hand at surfing, visit an array of World Heritage sites and explore the awe-inspiring Eden Project, the Cornish National Trust boasts over 25 historic houses and gardens.

Of course, Cornwall is best known for its beaches, and with over 300 to choose from, you’ll have no problem finding a spot for that beach towel! Bustling, empty, sandy, pebbly, or peppered with coves…it’s all on offer here. Newquay’s Fistral Beach is ideal for surfing, while Porthcurno is renowned for its clear water.

Culture vultures will adore the unique open-air Minack Theatre, or a trip to Tate St. Ives, while the iconic St Michael’s Mount, Land’s End and the Lost Gardens of Heligan will satisfy those in search of attractions to enthral.

If you really want to fit in, try raising your drink in the air with a hearty “Sowyn!” (ancient Cornish for ‘Cheers!’). Otherwise, simply enjoy drinking in those spectacular surroundings.
