Pinetum Gardens is a 30-acre, family-owned garden estate set within soothing parkland in the heart of St Austell Bay, on Cornwall’s sublime south coast.

The ten individually-themed garden rooms you’ll discover here were created over 40 years ago, mostly by experts Ray and Shirley Clemo (in 2011, Shirley was awarded an MBE for her work at Pinetum Gardens) and are each renowned for their magnificent beauty and tranquillity.

Boasting one of the county’s largest plant collections, as well as some of Cornwall’s most spectacular champion trees and exquisite works of art, this is a magical place where nature reigns supreme. So it’s hard to imagine a lovelier location for a cutting-edge retreat with 180-degree, floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

As such, you’ll find the expertly-crafted Mirror House supremely secluded to overlook the estate’s private communal garden, which is yours to enjoy throughout your stay.

Reflective glass allows you to immerse yourselves in these enchanting natural surroundings from the comfort of your kingsize bed or even the shower – without having to worry about anyone – including the vast array of bird life! – being able to see inside.

You’ll have everything you could possibly need for a relaxed couple’s escape, including a well-equipped kitchenette and a Smart TV for snuggly evenings in. Towels and complimentary toiletries are provided too, so you can pack perfectly light.
