A stay at Ty Mawr Country House feels like relaxing on your very own Carmarthenshire country estate, filled with charm, luxury… and of course, your favourite people!
With accommodation generously spaced across three floors, up to 16 guests are welcome to stay, accompanied by six well-behaved pets. (Translation: no-one has to be left off the guest list). Better still, the sweeping driveway has enough space for 16 cars, with a carport and EV charging, so you can unwind from the moment you arrive.
Once you’re inside, feel free to explore the myriad spaces and treats, including a dedicated bar area for celebratory cocktails, wood-burning stoves to snuggle around, and a landscaped river garden for lazy summer afternoon lounging.
There’s an external superking bedroom for those who prefer a little extra privacy, complete with en-suite facilities and a wall-mounted TV. Seven more bedrooms can be found in the main house, each one boasting its own unique style and character. Some feature en-suite baths or showers, others sitting areas for reading or contemplation. Others still are nestled under the eaves, for a glorious feeling of cosiness.
Once you’ve chosen your favourite bedroom, congregate in the lounge, with its exposed stone walls, tiled flooring… and the aforementioned bar area! There’s a convivial dining room to break bread in, too, warmly centred around the home’s original bread oven.
The designated chef will be thrilled with the professionally-styled and gleaming kitchen, though if nobody feels like cooking, there are options to arrange catered meals – perfect if you’re celebrating something special.
On sunny evenings, step into the garden, with its expansive lawn, babbling river, and relaxed dining patio, where you can chat against an emerging backdrop of sunset and stars. If the weather turns chilly – or you simply want to steal away awhile – the second sitting room is perfect for deep conversation or curling up with a good book by the fire.
