Pont Tyweli Glamping is blissfully nestled in rural South Wales, just outside the friendly town of Llandysul.
Former city-dwellers, owners Heather and Barney moved to the smallholding with their family in 2021. As well as building their beloved glamping retreat from scratch, they’ve spent plenty of time getting to know the area in detail. (Translation: they’re full of excellent recommendations for things to see and do during your break!).
Each of the three geodesic domes you’ll discover here boasts high-quality fixtures and fittings, and is styled for luxurious relaxation, whether you’re a couple or a small family – dogs included. Whichever dome you choose, the views will be spectacular, leading your gaze across the valley.
What else? Along with your own wood-fired hot tub, private dome facilities include an en-suite shower room and in-and-outdoor cooking equipment, to help you whip up delicious feasts come rain or shine. You’ll also have the option of hiring a pizza oven for an extra treat after a long day of fresh-air adventure.
Decorated in fresh mountain green, Oak Dome sleeps up to four guests in a kingsize bed and two single bunks, with soft solar lighting and a log burner that faces the panoramic window, for supreme sunset-watching.
Ash Dome is resplendent with stirring woodland murals, and sleeps up to five guests (or up to four adults) in a kingsize bed, with a small double with a shorty single bunk on top. Fern Dome has the same sleeping arrangements, with a kingsize bed and a standard double bunk with a standard single on top. Both domes also feature a log burner set by the dining bench, for warming mealtime chats (or games, whichever you prefer!).
Beds come equipped with thick duvets, blankets, and hot water bottles for extra snuggliness, while your al fresco firepit has seating… perfect for storytelling and marshmallow-toasting before that sound night of slumber.

More information
When you wake up, why not leave the car behind and take a stroll into Llandysul? Here you’ll find a play park, plenty of places to eat and drink, and even opportunities to mess about on the river with Llandysul Paddlers!
If you’re in the mood for a longer walk there’s a wealth of options, including Ffynone Waterfall (a favourite of Heather and Barney’s) where the children can splash around and the brave can take a dip in the wild swimming pool.
Nearby beaches include New Quay and Mwnt – a National Trust beach that’s ideal for dolphin-spotting – and there are lots of ‘rainy day’ options close by for family days, including soft play centres and a vintage steam railway.
In fact, there’s so much to see, do, and experience with a break at Pont Tyweli Glamping, that you may feel inclined to book your next stay before you’ve returned home!
Things to note
If you plan to bring more than one dog, please contact the owners before booking. A travel cot can be provided on request, but please note that the site is accessed by a 500m woodland path that isn’t buggy-friendly, so a baby carrier is recommended for getting to the domes. Please bring your own beach towels. Domes have USB charging points which are suitable for phones and tablets, but please leave your hairdryer at home! There is no Wi-Fi in the domes, but you should get a good 4G signal if needed.
