You’d never guess that Golden Grove Retreat is a mere 15 minutes from the end of the M4 motorway.

Adjacent to an organic farm in the lush, rolling hills of South Wales, are 10 pure, blissful acres that are home to two stunning safari lodges and indulgent spa facilities… all lovingly designed to help you breathe out and leave your cares far behind.

Nestled in an unspoilt, scenic field that teems with wildlife, each safari lodge sleeps up to six guests, meaning you can bring the whole family along for a well-deserved break.

Unwind in the open-plan lounge, with its squishy seating and log-burning stove to warm chilly evenings. There’s a dining table and chairs, and an integrated kitchen to help you whip up hearty country feasts.

If the sun is shining, throw the huge windows open and get lost in the dreamy sounds of nature… or better still, wander out onto the sun deck to get up close and personal with that incredible green vista.  If you’re very quiet and very lucky, you may even spot a grazing deer in the tree-lines.

Light the crackling firepit and stay out until the stars appear, and when it’s finally time to turn in you’ll have a fine choice of sleeping-spaces. There are two cosy twin bedrooms, and a raised double mezzanine room, all practically guaranteeing a sound night’s sleep.

Freshen up in your gorgeous gas-fired al fresco shower (we don’t think you’ll ever want to shower inside again!) and then why not indulge in a soul-soothing morning yoga session?
