No ordinary estate, Caerlaverock lies on the idyllic, sweeping south-west coast of Scotland, just five miles from Dumfries.

Owned by the same family for over 800 years, the estate’s spectacular scenery includes a walled medieval castle, ancient protected woodland, a coastal national nature reserve, and a peaceful farm dotted with grazing Belted Galloway cattle.

It’s also here that you’ll discover The Treehouse at Caerlaverock; a gloriously romantic, digital distraction-free hideaway with a stargazing hot tub and dreamy views of both the shimmering Solway coast and the majestic, soaring Criffel hill.

Beautifully designed with gentle curves throughout, the instantly welcoming retreat is powered by the sun, for a sustainable off-grid holiday that won’t deepen your carbon footprint… so you can breathe easy as well as pack perfectly light!

Comfortably furnished and decorated in soft, muted tones, the relaxed open-plan living and sleeping space both complements and showcases the surrounding scenery, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow daylight to flood cheerfully inside.

Simply light the woodburning stove and open a bottle of wine to feel ridiculously cosy – with no TV to distract you, you can get wonderfully lost in mesmerising sunset views, or deep, immersive conversations you never seem to find time for at home.

You’ll find the kitchen area gainfully equipped for country feasts, with a gas hob and fridge, and there’s a walk-in shower for invigorating freshen-ups after long lie-ins gazing out at the picture-perfect landscape.
