Ideal for fun-filled outdoorsy escapes with family and friends, Gorsebank is home to a quirky selection of accommodation and fresh-air adventure, all set amongst the breath-taking natural landscape of the Galloway Hills in south-west Scotland.
Sharing these wondrous surroundings with peacefully grazing Herdwick sheep and horses, you’ll find accommodation generously spaced throughout the site for a blissful sense of privacy – ideal when you’re enjoying a stargazing soak in your wood-fired hot tub!
Ideal for a romantic couple, Contained Bliss has the feel of a luxury hotel room in nature, set within its own magical woodland copse, and boasting private en-suite facilities. Huge bi-fold doors welcome the outside in, and there’s an internet TV for snuggly evenings… after you’ve devoured a sizzling sunset supper on the wrap-around deck, to a gentle soundtrack of nature.
On balmy nights, why not linger under the stars awhile, soaking in the dreamy Scandi wood-fired hot-tub-for-two? Later on, you can light the al fresco log-burner and unwind in your settle-down chairs, with a well-deserved glass of wine.
Sleeping a small family of up to 4, the Posh Pods offer comfort in spades, with two cosy double sofa beds, hot drink-making facilities, a Nordic wood-fired hot tub, and a private shower and loo just next door. Nestled in an enchanting sheltered hollow, you may even get the chance to make new friends from the deer that graze close by!
But if it’s gazing up at the night sky that you love the most, the Stargazing Ridge Pods were crafted just for you. Sleeping two guests, each cosy pod is hidden away in the ‘dark skies’ area of the site, in which lighting is kept to a minimum. And since you’re already under some of the darkest skies in Scotland, be prepared for spectacular stellar sightings from the comfort of your wood-fired, teacup-like Dutchtub.
Can’t bear to leave your four-legged friend at home? Sleeping a family of 2 adults and 3 children (or 3-4 adults), you’ll find the roomy, dog-friendly Wigwam Cabins on a tree-lined bank near a duck pond. Two are equipped with wood-fired hot tubs, all feature a picnic table and firepit, and your exclusive shower block is mere steps away.
