You’ll find The Shepherd’s Hut Retreat in an idyllic rural location, surrounded by organic farmland on the refreshing borders of Somerset, Dorset and Devon. If you’re in the mood to explore all the beauty of the South West, you just couldn’t be better placed.

That’s if you can tear yourselves away from your gorgeous hut! There are six to choose from, each one professionally styled with vintage accessories, and equipped with everything you’ll need to relax and reconnect with nature.

Beautifully positioned between the trees and on the water’s edge, each hut not only features a private bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen and WiFi, but you’ll have your own decking, fire pit and your very own private hot tub to make the most of those amazing views.

Oh – and there’s also a  Woodland Sauna to make good use of!

All you need to do now is select your favourite hut. Shabby chic Shepherds Delight includes an authentic country-style kitchen and binoculars to help you spot wildlife on the pond. Shepherds Rest is ideal for a peaceful escape, set between the woodland and the water.

Shepherds Watch is traditionally crafted with high quality interiors, while Shepherds Keep is perfect for lovers of style, with its immaculate fusion of English and Scandi design. Wake up to enchanting views of the lake, from double doors and a window right at the end of your bed.  Hut1898 is the grandest hut (think 250 square ft of space!), with huge glass doors opening up onto the deck.  Shepherds Zen, as the name suggests, is inspired by the Orient and even comes with its own summer house, complete with stargazing telescope.

The infra-red Woodland Sauna, meanwhile, is your setting for outstanding views of unspoilt woodland as you unwind, with visible bird boxes and feeders that help you spot plenty of feathered friends. Freshen up in the outdoor shower afterwards – it’s roomy enough for two!

If you’re a foodie (and even if you’re not), you’ll love the fact that there are so many tempting places to eat and drink right on the doorstep. Why not book a table at the award-winning Lord Poulett Arms in nearby Hinton St. George to start you off?

If you feel like exploring slightly further afield, the World Heritage Jurassic Coast is within easy reach, along with the ‘Pearl of Dorset’ town of Lyme Regis.

Plan your daily activities over a steaming cuppa, as you look out over ducks splashing on the pond, and deer grazing in the nearby field.

On second thoughts, you could just stay right where you are, and take it nice and easy!
