Imagine an idyllic glamping spot in the midst of nature, and you’ll naturally picture Hinton Hideaways.

Adults-only and perfectly peaceful, you’ll find Hinton Hideaways on an organic farm, situated on the border that crosses Somerset, Devon and Dorset. There is so much to see and do right on the doorstep – from opulent country houses and coastal strolls, to horse riding through the rolling countryside – that you might have trouble fitting everything in!

You’ll find two cosy Roundhouses to choose from on site, both lovingly created as an ideal romantic retreat for a stressed-out couple in need of a country remedy.

The Nest is south-facing, and positioned at the very top of the farm site with outstanding views across the green fields. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting to wake up with every day.  Meanwhile, The Hide is nestled in its own private garden, with a beautiful outdoor bath house.

Described as “the love child of a yurt and a luxury treehouse”, you’ll find plenty of creature comforts inside your chosen Roundhouse. For starters, you’ll have your own bathroom with luxurious rainfall shower and bath. (Though if you prefer to get closer to nature, the hot outdoor bath might be just your thing instead!)

Your fixed double bed, indulgently dressed in Egyptian cotton and soft blankets, promises a sound night’s sleep, while a fully-equipped kitchen in each roundhouse means preparing a hearty breakfast is easy. On sunny days, why not take your breakfast out onto the deck and listen to the birds’ morning chorus, as you watch grazing deer nearby?

Lighting, power and heating are all provided, and you’ll even find a TV and DVD player for cosy evenings in. Meanwhile, sunset-watching is more than taken care of, with a warming firebowl and a barbecue to help you whip up a sizzling supper. You’ll even find marshmallows for toasting – they make an ideal dessert!

There are plenty of facilities on site, should you care to venture out. Top up with logs at the Log Store Shop, or maybe schedule a session in the Woodland Sauna.

Further afield…well, where do we begin? You’ll find an award-winning gastro pub within walking distance, while the traditional country village of Hinton St. George is easily accessible on foot or by bike.
