The Secret Yurts is exactly that: a collection of luxury yurts, delightfully tucked away in private Welsh woodland… in a way that makes you feel like you’ve just discovered a magical new world of wonder!
Surrounded by working farmland and rolling hills, the vast site is characterised by fresh air, diverse wildlife and heady wildflowers, with over 4,000 purposefully-planted trees. Power is provided by the sun and supplies are locally-sourced, so there’s no need to worry about your carbon footprint as you relax and unwind in sublime natural surroundings.
There are three bespoke yurts to choose from, each sleeping two adults. Two are dog-friendly: a dog-lover herself, owner Michelle used to run a successful dog-training and behaviour business. So it almost goes without saying that your four-legged friends will be made to feel very welcome indeed, with their very own treats and facilities provided.
Whichever indulgent yurt you choose, you’ll find it furnished with a hand-made, sumptuously-dressed kingsize bed (with extra blankets and bedding for your dog), butter-soft furnishings, lanterns, tea-lights, and a wood-burning stove for a warm evening glow.
As if all that wasn’t quite enough, you’ll also have the use of a communal well-equipped kitchen and private hotel-quality shower facilities with luxury towels, toiletries, and robes… as well as a daily-heated stargazing hot tub to luxuriate in, for a holiday you’ll never want to end.
The only dog-free haven, Rowan Yurt comes with a suntrap deck and a premium, wood-fired Ofuro hot tub. Nestled amongst the lush foliage for blissful seclusion and daily birdsong, Rowan is also set closest to the private facilities.
Elevated slightly higher than the others, dog-friendly Oak Yurt has a window on one side, so you can savour far-reaching rural views while snuggled up inside, or soaking in your very own wood-fired Ofuro hot tub outside.

As well as six acres of woodland to explore on site, there are plenty of incredible country walks to be taken locally, including tracing the medieval footsteps of Owain Glyndŵr, or packing a picnic and relaxing by the River Banwy.
