If you could design your very own private and lavish yurt experience in the Welsh countryside, it would probably look a lot like The Secret Yurts.
Featuring three bespoke yurts packed with luxuries including downy bedding, fluffy towels and cosy robes, there is plenty of attention to detail here – of the kind that really makes a holiday special. You’ll even find indulgent hot tubs and a Jacuzzi (depending on your choice of yurt) to help get rid of those everyday cares.
Better still, this is a sumptuous stay that comes with serious eco-credentials. Not only can you arrange a ‘car free’ option involving station pick-ups and drop-offs (with plenty to explore on foot or by bike!), but you’ll find every care has been taken to preserve the unique beauty of the rolling Welsh landscape.
Think sustainable firewood for that crackling log burner, solar panels and rainwater harvesting, not to mention a wildflower-strewn woodland walk peppered with bird and insect boxes.
Choose your favourite yurt from Oak, Rowan and Birch – each equipped with comfy furnishings, soft lighting from lanterns, candles and fairy lights…and a kingsize bed, handmade from reclaimed wood. Enjoy your own al-fresco dining area with table, chairs and private barbecue. There’s even a private wood-fired hot tub for Birch and Oak, or exclusive use of a Bluetooth-connected Jacuzzi for Rowan, for your very own spa time.
As if all that wasn’t quite enough, you’ll find some excellent custom-built facilities, including a fully-equipped communal kitchen within the facilities building. You’ll also have your own private bathroom, featuring a powerful shower with plenty of piping hot water, ample mirror-space, and that all-important hairdryer.
Once you’ve settled into your beautiful yurt, it’s time to pull on those wellies and get exploring! There are plenty of dedicated footpaths from the yurt site itself, while a mere five-minute drive will lead you to the local steam railway. With Lake Vyrnwy close by, and the magnificent Snowdonia National Park just 45 minutes away, there’s no end of rural scenes to immerse yourselves in.

What the guests of The Secret Yurts say
“We’ve had the most unreal time here, and we can’t wait to come back! We just love it! Amazing place, lovely relaxing weekend just what we needed. The yurts are everything and more.”
“What a great experience to get some peace and quiet so close to crazy Christmas. We absolutely loved getting cosy in the yurt with the log burner and candles. Definitely got our use of the hot tub. Everything so chilled with the sound of the rain outside and the sound of pouring wine inside… December is the best month to stay in a yurt! (in our opinion)! Already had friends asking where is this paradise! Thanks Tracey and Terry, we will be back!”
“Thank you, thank you, thank you! What an amazing place you two have created here, you should both be very proud of yourselves. Thank you for going the extra mile on things like hayfever tablets and re-lighting the hot tub at 10pm. We’ve had one of the best weekends ever and will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends. We will also be coming back!”
