Akin to rural paradise, Cyfie Farm (pronounced “cu-vee-ah”) soars 900 feet above sea level in the mid-Welsh countryside, with soul-stirring hill-and-valley views.

The 20-acre farm dates all the way back to the 17th century, and there’s a blissful, timeless quality to the welcoming atmosphere and peaceful surroundings you’ll discover here.

Not only are many of the farm’s resident animals much-loved pets, but there are beautiful gardens to explore, and an on-site honesty shop selling everything from homemade jam to hand-knitted souvenirs.

Cosy accommodation, meanwhile, includes an expertly-converted horse lorry named The Shire, and Little Acorn, a deluxe shepherd’s hut. Both retreats feature their own private garden – which comes complete with a hot tub for an extra holiday treat.

Contemporary and comfortable, The Shire is a soft-toned, scenery-showcasing haven for two adults. There’s a kingsize bed to snuggle up in, a well-equipped kitchen for country-style feasts, and a shower room for energising morning freshen-ups (yes, in a horse lorry!)

Switch on the underfloor heating and spend a romantic evening in front of the Smart TV. Or fire up the barbecue and catch the last of the day’s sunshine out in your furnished garden… with a hot tub dip to look forward to when the stars come out to play in the pitch-dark night sky.

Little Acorn is a sumptuous, single-level hideaway that’s also for two adults. Cosily furnished with plenty of soft fabrics, you’ll have full kitchen and shower facilities, with a garden that features a firepit and a hammock – perfect for curling up with a good book on sunny afternoons!
