Set on a friendly working farm in the Essex countryside of Withies Green, this stylish and detached barn conversion is ideal for those seeking a rural break with a touch of the idyllic.

The name ‘Tatters Barn’ was inspired by the cottage’s former life as a potato barn, and there are some hints to its historic past.  Original beams and quirky wooden features blend with cosy furnishings and high-end appliances, to ensure you’ll feel relaxed just as soon as you arrive.

Unwind in the spacious living area as you catch up with your loved ones…and with Bluetooth speakers and a 50″ TV, you’ll never be bored!  Meanwhile, huge light-attracting bay windows allow you to look out over gently rolling farmland. Later on, take the spiral staircase to two spectacular mezzanine bedrooms, both equipped with kingsize beds (stake an early claim on the four-poster room if you can!)

You’ll find a bike store available – the perfect excuse to whizz through the endless countryside as you explore the many rural routes.  Make some stops in the nearby towns and villages, including quaint Coggeshall and Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town. Return to your cottage just in time to watch the blazing sunset from the comfort of your large, private courtyard garden, and your luxury break is complete.
