Steeped in history, you’ll find the captivating Grade II listed St Mary’s a divine place to stay, perfectly preserved in all its 15th century glory.
Stone built, complete with a breathtaking stained glass window, and set just across from the shores of the majestic Tal y Llyn Lake, St Marys presents a spectacular picture just as soon as you arrive.
Charmingly imaginative and faithful to its enduring tradition, you’ll find the vestry provides wonderfully comfortable living space, complete with high, exposed beams and a cosy fire. The Tudor painted ceiling is a stunning focal point, and you’ll observe plenty of original features throughout, including the font, pews and pump organ.
Celestial feasts are prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, while the spacious dining area is an ideal place to catch up over a glass or two of wine.
Wander though the heavy oak door into the church itself, and you’ll discover two cosy, peaceful ensuite bedrooms. One is set on the ground floor, while the other is situated in the mezzanine above, complete with scenic glass balustrades.
On sunny days, why not spend some time outside amongst the local wildlife? The unpolluted sky means sunsets are truly spectacular, and on a clear night you may even catch a glimpse of the Milky Way!
There are plenty of walks and attractions nearby, including Barmouth Beach and the pretty market town of Dolgellau. However you decide to spend your time, we’re willing to guess you’ll soon be saying your prayers to return to St Mary’s.
