Completely and utterly unique, the bespoke-crafted Rocket Lodge promises an out-of-this-world stay for up to six guests, deep in the rural heart of Rutland.
(Nestled on a 20-acre woodland site known as A Little Bit of Rough, you won’t discover your exact location until you’ve booked, as the friendly owners prefer to keep their private site a beautiful ‘secret’ between themselves and their guests).
Surrounded by over 5,000 diverse, whispering native trees and shrubs, there’s plenty of wide open space to explore, with wondrous views that welcome you right back into the comforting arms of nature.
Lovingly hand-built from an intriguing, never-tried-before combination of rescued silos and shepherd’s huts, The Rocket Lodge is rich in luxurious detail, from reclaimed wood panelling and unique artwork to butter-soft furnishings and sleek, high-end appliances.
Contemporary bioethanol stoves hang from the ceilings, while the final silo is home to an ultra-indulgent, one-of-a-kind bathing room. Featuring reclaimed oak church doors, an oversized mirror ball, and a huge, gleaming copper bathtub to sink into, you’ll never want to leave.
Meanwhile, glazed links join each silo and shepherd’s hut together, for a wonderful feeling of connection… both with the Lodge itself, and the natureful surroundings outside. Set within its very own private grounds on the site, you’ll also have your very own wildlife pond and island, to make you feel like a visiting celebrity!
A gorgeous wood-fired hot tub will help you make the most of stargazing in that dark, clear night sky, while the pizza oven and barbecue are ideal for welcoming the awe-inspiring sunset, over a delicious al fresco supper on the elevated south-facing deck.Keep reading
