  • Sleeps: 4
  • Bedrooms: 2
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

A Little Bit of Rough comprises an exquisite selection of retreats for couples, families, and friends, all privately nestled in rural Rutland – a historic county known for its low, rolling hills and reservoir nature reserves.

Recently added to the collection, The Longhouse is a unique and ultra-luxurious escape for four adults, complete with its very own bespoke-crafted ornamental pond and magnificent rural views from every window.

You’ll approach your new-found sanctuary along a whispering tree-lined corridor that reveals a private woodland corner you’ll surely never want to leave. Every holiday convenience you could ask for is gainfully on hand, along with more than a few sumptuous treats.

Inside awaits creative and carefully-chosen furniture, bespoke artwork, and statement lighting, with reclaimed wood panelling and a ready supply of cushions and throws to help you relax. There’s a sleek, fully-fitted kitchen – complete with a gorgeous baby-pink fridge/freezer – for easy meal preparation, while the elevated front deck is the perfect setting for scenic al-fresco dining with chilled glasses of wine.

On cooler evenings, stay inside the cosy, centrally-heated Longhouse and snuggle up in front of the Smart TV. When it’s time to turn in, simply choose your favourite of two elegant king-size bedrooms. Along with fresh linen and super-comfy bedding, both boast luxury en-suite shower facilities, thus negating any need for awkward morning queues!

More in the mood for a languorous bubble-soak? Grab a robe and wander along the decking that encircles the lily-planted waterfront, towards your custom-crafted bathhouse. Here you’ll find two indulgent soaking-tubs set beneath a shimmering glitterball, with views that lead your gaze across the trees and out towards that lush Rutland countryside… bliss.

Oh, and not forgetting the woodland sauna, with its huge windows that showcase the water and the surrounding treetops to sublime perfection. If you’re feeling brave enough, there’s a cold outdoor shower waiting to help you freshen up afterwards.
