Yee-ha! Get set for a stay at the truly original, Wild West-themed Pinewood Park for a holiday to remember!
Situated just two miles from the centre of Scarborough, Pinewood Park offers a whole host of western-inspired glamping and camping accommodation. This little piece of the Wild West is the last thing you might expect on the Yorkshire coast, but it’s certainly something you won’t want to miss.
Look forward to gorgeous countryside surroundings and a big Yorkshire welcome from owners Dave and Kerry. Their love and attention has gone into every detail of Pinewood Park, which is just one of the reasons why it’s won awards and received a 4-star rating from ‘Visit England’. With no fewer than seven options of where to lay your head at Pinewood, the only difficulty you might have is choosing one!
The most luxurious choice has to be the Luxury Cowboy Lodge, complete with hot tub. A romantic escape for couples or a very special family treat, the Lodge sleeps four between a sumptuous king size bed and two bunk beds. An extra child can also sleep on a single futon for a small additional charge. Pretty bunting, horseshoe hangers and soft linen give the Lodge a cosy feel while retaining nods to the cowboy theme. Outside, you have your own paved patio with space for a BBQ, and don’t forget the covered, private hot tub, lit up at night with 1000 fairy lights!
If you’d rather make like a Native American, set up camp in a gorgeous tipi, ready and waiting for you in Camp Pinewood. Large enough for four, these beautiful tents combine traditional style with modern luxury; they’re fully enclosed to keep you warm and dry, raised off the ground by wooden decks, and fully carpeted – yet still allow you to wake to the sounds of birdsong each morning.
Alternatively, take a stroll along to Woody’s Town to scope out the Cowboy Camping Shacks and Camping Cabins. These comfortable, fully insulated huts offer perfect year-round camping for families. The Camping Shacks sleep two adults and two children (or three adults), while the larger Camping Cabins offer accommodation for a family of five. Come evening time, relax back in a rocking chair on your veranda and watch the world go by – ideally with a glass in hand.
For something completely different, opt for a stay in one of Woody’s Western Wagons. These custom-built, handcrafted wagons have been designed to resemble the ‘chuck wagons’ of old, yet are fabulously insulated to offer a cosy night’s sleep all year round. Sleeping four between the fixed double bed and two fixed singles, this is a truly unique way to make memories for the whole family.Keep reading

What the guests of Pinewood Park say
‘The site owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The camp site
felt peaceful and secure each tent was pitched with hedging behind it and
was therefore sheltered. With only 14 pitches in the field there was more
than enough space for each tent, to allow each camping unit to have their
own space without encroaching on anyone else.
The facilities were very clean and never crowded. The showers worked
well. My young grandchildren enjoyed playing hide and seek around the site with
other camping children. They also loved the reptile show and were
introduced to bearded dragons, snakes and an iguana.
I am an infrequent camper but would return to this campsite again. It is very well placed for Scarborough, Dalby Forest (which is wonderful)
and many more Yorkshire attractions.

a place, our stay was awesome. We had a lovely warm welcome. We stayed in a
wigwam something we had not done before and we were not disappointed the whole
experience was just great. The complex was very well organised and nipping
clean. It felt safe and very comfortable, can’t wait to go back. A

‘Thank you so much – we had a truly wonderful time. We stayed in a tipee
and loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much
trouble. Lots of places to explore on the camp site, my children loved the
games field and exploring the woods. We will definitely come back to try one of the wagons.’
