  • Bedrooms: Open plan
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Beautifully located in a picture-perfect village that’s ideal for exploring the North York Moors National Park, Cottage Farm Stables is an idyllic country retreat that welcomes guests of all descriptions… including dogs and horses!

And if you’re bringing your faithful steed with you, there’s surely no better place to rest your own heads than one of the three cosy, themed yurts you’ll discover on the friendly farm site.

Enclosed in a private paddock, and each measuring a roomy 16ft, there’s plenty of space to stretch out inside, with a downy kingsize bed and comfy memory foam beds that sleep up to 4 lucky guests.

Decorated in a boho or African design-led theme, you’ll feel completely at home, particularly when there are plenty of extra delights ready for you to enjoy, including a novelty ‘horsebox’ shower, and a gas-powered pizza oven and fire pit BBQ for epic al fresco feasts. They even provide marshmallows for toasting on the campfire!

Feel free to indulge as much as you like – you’re going to need the fuel for the adventures of the day ahead!

The spectacular, wildlife-steeped surroundings are begging to be explored, whether you’ve brought your bike, your walking shoes, or your horse. Get lost in the endless charms of nature, or if you feel like a shorter stroll, take the scenic woodland footpath to the local food-serving pub, instead!

But if you’d rather not leave, no problem! Friendly owner Kate has seen to it that you can enjoy a selection of activities and experiences without having to stray from the comfort of the farm – guided horseback tours, sunset beach rides, pizza making nights or perhaps a private photoshoot with you and your horse.

What the guests of Pony Glamping say

“My daughter and I stayed at The Yurt recently with our ponies and every minute was just perfect. The Yurt is just stunning and very spacious. There were marshmallows ready for us to toast over the fire in the evening. Our ponies didn’t settle in the field straight away so Kate got us some stables ready and nothing was too much trouble. My partner and 2 sons came to stay one night very last minute and we were shown how to make pizzas which were delicious. Again Kate brought us more bedding and a cot bed in no time and nothing was too much trouble. The hacking was STUNNING!! Just an all round perfect holiday we will be returning!”

“What an experience. Everyone with a horse has to go to the yurt. Waking up with your horse and your dogs in the same paddock is amazing. Kate and her dad were so welcoming and made us feel at home. We made pizzas, with Kate’s help and toasted marshmallows. The rides were awesome, not a soul in sight, and Filey beach was exhilarating. The huge bed in the yurt is the comfiest I have ever slept in, Ruston village is a little piece of heaven, and we are so grateful to have found it. 10 stars.”
