Nestled on the outskirts of Rhayader – a River Wye town dubbed “the outdoor capital of Wales” – Otter’s View is a dog-friendly retreat taken from an epic fantasy tale, with quirky round windows and all the comforts of home.

Built into a pristine green hillside, you can gaze out over chocolate-box countryside from the beautiful garden, or simply unwind with friends and family in the plush living space.  There’s a wall-mounted Smart TV to keep you entertained, and a fully-equipped kitchen for that essential snack-preparation.

Three elegant bedrooms sleep up to six guests in country-style comfort (our tip: stake your claim on the kingsize room with patio access!) and a shower room that boasts opulent marble walls.  Perfect for freshening up after a long day of outdoor pursuits in the nearby Elan Valley.

Visiting the magnificent Victorian-built dams is a must, particularly when followed by a hearty pub lunch!  You’ll find the Red Kite feeding station in Rhayader too; ideal for wildlife-lovers.

Once you’re all settled in, why not light the firepit for sunset storytelling, then toast your first evening away with a glass of bubbles and a dip in the stargazing hot tub?  It’s the perfect way to mark what will surely become a fondly-remembered escape.
