Boarding a school bus isn’t known to inspire immediate thoughts of fun, laughter, and high-end relaxation… at least not until now!

Long Beach School Bus is an iconic yellow ‘skoolie’ (of the type you’ve seen on many a classic American movie), faithfully transporting 70 kids to and from schools in the US of A right up until June 2021.

Now, after a funky, comfort-filled makeover, this authentic Skoolie is a unique glamping retreat that’s made for memory-making. Just about everything you’ll need for an ‘escape the real world’ break has been gainfully provided – and a little more besides!

Sleeping up to six lucky passengers, there’s a snuggly kingsize bed to the rear of the bus, complete with a toasty electric blanket and mesmerising morning views from three sides. Two more full-size singles and a sumptuous sofa bed ensure you’ll all get plenty of shut-eye…

…especially since you’ll be curling up with John Lewis mattresses, hotel-grade pillows, duck down duvets, and fresh Egyptian cotton sheets.

But that’s not all! The owners are big fans of a good kitchen, so they’ve made sure there’s one on board – with a fabulous gas hob, oven and grill, tools galore, a cool fridge and even a freezer for that all-important G&T ice. And since there’s a ‘proper’ dining table both inside and out, you can choose your dinner-views. There’s a full-on BBQ and lovely firepit for stargazing later on, too.

What about bathroom facilities? Well, you can lather up in the piping-hot onboard shower, with a stack of fluffy towels to wrap up in afterwards. Oh, and there’s even a proper flushing loo!

Though we’re sure you’ll agree that it’s the details that really make a break. Details like lots of open-able windows, underfloor heating, illuminated mirrors (with a plug in hairdryer-reaching distance!), lighting both inside and out, plenty of storage space… and a driver’s seat with all the original bus-buttons intact, to delight big and little kids alike!

And then there’s the enchanting location you’ll be parked in. A wide open, free-range campsite that’s positioned near the sweeping Somerset coast, there’s a fabulous Family Field, complete with a kids’ activity area (who fancies playing in an old Land Rover?) and picnic benches for parents to keep an eye on the proceedings.

There’s also a coffee shack, stone-baked pizzas, milkshakes, and an on-site shop for stocking up on holiday essentials. And with not one but nine incredible beaches, plus a wealth of restaurants, activities, and historic hotspots in ridiculously easy reach, this really is the school trip of a lifetime!
