A Dylan Thomas-inspired, upside-down house in the coastal village of Saundersfoot, with stunning Atlantic Ocean views from every room.
  • Sleeps: 6
  • Bedrooms: 3
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 3 nights

Cool, contemporary, and impossibly scenic, Llareggub is the perfect coastal escape for a romantic couple looking for a getaway, or a larger group/family seeking an enviably located seaside retreat.

For starters, the house’s location in Saundersfoot means you can take in all the amazing beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with windswept strolls and peaceful dog walks along the uncrowded coastal path. Not to mention incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean right from the house itself, which you can take in from each of the living rooms.

There’s a lot of love and care to be found at Llareggub (which spells ‘bugger all’ backwards, in affectionate homage to writer Dylan Thomas’s fictional village in Under Milk Wood). Owners David and Anjana have worked tirelessly to ensure the house – a beloved family bolthole for many years – has been properly renovated and restored to its most comforting and scenic effects.

The clever upside-down structure not only gives the property a palpable sense of space, it is also ideal for ensuring you can keep an eye on those spectacular sea views, from the comfort of the contemporary living space

When it’s time to turn in, you’ll have three gorgeous, individually styled double bedrooms to choose from – though be warned, it’ll be hard to decide which is your favourite. The master room is equipped with an indulgent oval bath, ideal for romance and relaxation, with the second double home to a dreamy terrace. Finally, Captain Cat’s beachside bolthole is a luxurious wood-clad cabin on the central floor.

There’s also a stylish, coal-black slate shower room to freshen up in, ideal after a long day exploring the local area.

You’ll certainly be spoilt for choice of things to do during your stay. This region has a burgeoning selection of artisan shops, seafood restaurants and boutique shops; part of a growing local scene. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is also home to some of the finest beaches in the world, so if you’re a water baby, you’re in luck! You can even take a leisurely undulating five-mile walk along the beach to neighbouring Tenby, one of the area’s main tourist centres.
