Yet with three sumptuous, couples as well as family and dog-friendly retreats to choose from, actually making the decision to leave could prove more difficult than you realised!

For starters, this is the first-ever treehouse to feature a movable copper bathtub! Easily positioned indoors or out on the scenic woodland terrace, you get to decide exactly where you’ll enjoy that well-deserved bubble-soak with an outdoor shower. There’s a wood-fired hot tub to help you savour the emerging stars later on, too… oh, and a double hammock for lazy afternoon naps.

Though you’ll have a bespoke kitchen inside (complete with a bottle of bubbles and a treat to welcome you) you can also indulge in supreme al fresco dining with help from your sizzling barbecue or wood-fired pizza oven – perfect for slap-up family-sized suppers! Turn the mood lighting on, open a bottle of bubbly and enjoy romantic evenings cuddled up by the fire.

What next? Enjoy a fun-filled movie night, snuggled up all together in front of your living room’s pull-down cinema screen and projector, or linger outside awhile and tell stories around the fire. Wake up to a Nespresso coffee on the birdsong-soundtracked terrace, followed by a freshen-up in your opulent walk-in shower; complete with soft LED lighting, complimentary toiletries, and fluffy towels, slippers and robes… bliss!

What you do next could take a little time to decide. Will you wander the woodland and wildflower-steeped paths on-site, perhaps? You’ll even find picnic bag packs handily provided for an idyllic lunch by the river, if the mood should strike. Will you take the coast path to Harland Quay, or embark on a shorter 10-minute stroll to the g village, where you can enjoy delicious lunch or dinner?

Will you visit the local beaches – which include Sandymouth, Instow, Westward Ho! and Summerleaze – all within a 15-mile radius and perfect for swimming, watersports, and lazing on the sand?

Things to note

Check in at 4:30pm, check out by 10am. If you are bringing a baby or very young children, a highchair, cot, potty, children’s toilet seat, baby bath, bath mat, and booster chair cushion can all be provided on request. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at an extra charge per dog, which includes water bowls, treats, towels, toys, blankets, beds, emergency poo bags, a first-aid kit and shampoo. There are dedicated doggy showers with hot-and-cold water, and light-up dog collars for late-night toilet trips!
