Golden Oak Hideaway (sleeps 2)
Romantics will fall in love with the Golden Oak Hideaway, built exclusively for two to enjoy the ultimate couples’ retreat in this fairy-tale forest. Enjoy a decadent escape together in your dreamy love nest, where you’ll find a wood-burning stove, a totally romantic sunken bath for two (complete with a view of the forest!), a hot tub and even a hammock on the decking for those lazy afternoons together. Sheer heaven!
Silver Birch Cabin (sleeps 4-6)
The Silver Birch Cabins – available in both 3- and 4-bedroom versions – are the perfect choice for families or friends looking for contemporary comfort during their woodland stay. Each one is fully equipped to the highest standard, and with the added bonus of an outdoor hot tub, you can guarantee superb comfort. One wheelchair adapted cabin is also available on request.

You can book all these fantastic treats and activities at the onsite Forest Retreat, where you can also stop for a coffee or bite to eat, and even pick up locally sourced essentials (and the odd indulgence!) in the handy shop. And for that very special celebration, why not hire out The Pavilion? With a large outdoor deck and fitted kitchen, it’s the perfect gathering place for friends and family.
When you’re not enjoying every wonder Cropton has to offer, there’s more to explore beyond the forest. The charming village of Pickering is just 7 miles away – a must-visit for its indoor flea market, excellent restaurants, quaint medieval lanes and period train station (which doubled as a Hogwarts Express stop in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone!). Step even further back in time as you explore Dalby Forest, complete with Bronze Age burial mounds, before getting your heart racing on some of the world’s best mountain-biking trails. Then of course there’s fantastic York just 30 miles away, with The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre and famous York Minster to experience!
Or you could simply spend each second of your stay back at Cropton – getting close to nature in the forest, relaxing on your deck with that beautiful meadow view or luxuriating in your stunning cabin where every moment is an indulgence in itself.

Minimum 3 night stay starting Fridays or 4 nights starting Mondays, dog friendly cabins are available and must be pre-booked at a cost of £15 per dog per night, dogs should not be left unattended.
