If the daily grind is getting you down, find your soothing sanctuary at the BOX BNB.

Peacefully nestled on a working farm on the edge of the North York Moors, are three sumptuous, high-end cabins that boast luxury facilities and spectacular country views.

Each cabin has been imaginatively converted from a shipping container, and are perfect for work, rest, and play – particularly if you’re looking for a fresh and inspiring escape from the office!

Named Pig BOX, Duck BOX, and Rabbit BOX, each sleep two adults in a downy double bed, which also makes them ideal for a romantic escape into nature… though there’s also a pull-out sofa bed, if you can’t find a babysitter.

Enormous floor-to-ceiling windows and doors throughout the cabin allow natural daylight to flood inside, while by evening you can light the warming log burner for a soft, gentle glow.

You won’t be short of entertainment, either – not only does your cabin feature high-speed Wi-Fi, but there’s also a DAB digital radio to help you set the perfect background mood.

Facilities-wise, everything you’ll need is present and correct, including sleek, gleaming SMEG kitchen appliances (with a Nespresso machine to charge your mornings in style) and an invigorating power shower with complimentary toiletries. You’ll also have a flushing loo – well, this is a luxury stay, after all!

If you linger awhile, you can catch the stars in that vast, clear night sky… part of a Dark Sky certified National Park, your cabin is beautifully positioned for truly unforgettable views.

Wake from your sound, silent night’s sleep to a delicious complimentary breakfast pack, fresh from the farm shop. Foodies are in serious luck – since your delicious breakfast serves as a mere gateway to the amazing produce waiting to be sampled in the surrounding area.

Nearby Malton is the proud ‘food capital of Yorkshire’ (or as The Times puts it, “the splendidly Georgian gourmet capital of Yorkshire”) and you’ll find it full of artisan producers, independent delis, and boutique shops to weave your way in and out of.

Tip: time your visit for the popular monthly food market, or the annual Food Lovers’ Festival, to feast on the best produce the area has to offer!

You could also try your hand at making your own gin, or heading out on the ‘Marathon du Malton’ – a 10k ‘wineathon’ that leads you through Yorkshire’s picturesque wine country.

Meanwhile, if you’ve brought your bikes, why not set out on the Malton to Pickering cycle route, with routes through the North York Moors National Park and the stunning east coast?

Whether you decide to get your head down on work, wear out those boots and bike tyres, or just sit in the sun enjoying mouth-watering local produce, your stay at the BOX BNB is bound to be both beautiful and memorable.

What the guests of The BOX BNB say

“We loved our stay in the BOX BNB Malton – such an awesome experience! The unique space is well thought out and extremely comfortable. It felt like a luxury hotel room in a shipping container! The local village of Thornton-Le-Dale was picturesque with gorgeous walks and delicious food / drinks. An unforgettable trip.”

“We love visiting this area and were keen to stay somewhere new. the BOX BNB proved to be a great choice; a stylish, clean and modern space with everything we needed for a few days away. It was just like in the photos; the weather was quite mild for the time of year and we enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the views. The container is very well insulated and it was cosy in the evenings and warm in the mornings. Also a log burner available for winter. Great location convenient for much of North Yorkshire and the coast. Very happy to recommend.”

“My teenage son and I stopped in The Rabbit Box for 2 nights on a gorgeous sunny warm weekend in September. The accommodation is of a very high quality and the hosts have given a great deal of thought to what you might need and have catered accordingly. The place was spotlessly clean, the bed incredibly comfortable and there are so many personal touches that make it feel just like your own home. From the decking you can enjoy watching the sunrise or sunset without any unnatural light. It is beautiful and peaceful. There are so many lovely restaurants in nearby Malton and plenty of activities to while away the time. You are spoilt for choice. We enjoyed it so much, we will be coming back.”
