Bespoke-designed for you to call your favourite babysitter and reconnect with your loved one in the countryside, you’ll discover Collie Shepherd Huts in idyllic, friendly farm surroundings that overlook the mesmerising Somerset Levels.

With fresh rural views that seem to stretch out forever – you’ll also catch sight of the resident, unbearably sweet miniature Shetland ponies grazing peacefully away – this really is the perfect place to relax together, as you leave life’s everyday stresses and strains far behind.

There are two dog-friendly huts to choose from, each one boasting its own unique charm and character. Though whichever you opt for, you can expect welcome goodies, sleek en-suite facilities… and a private wood-fired hot tub to help sunset-watching and stargazing nicely along!

Collie is the farm’s very first hut, beautifully set in a former orchard and furnished with luxurious attention to detail. Unwind in the sumptuous open-plan lounge, with its deep sofa and warming wood-burner, for the ultimate evening in. There’s a Smart TV and Wi-Fi too, for when you’re all talked out.

Shetland View, meanwhile, is all cute country-chic and positioned for you to catch every last moment of those incredible blazing sunsets. Inside awaits a gorgeous oak dining table for you to savour home-cooked romantic suppers, and a cosy, creatively-designed kingsize bed that pulls effortlessly down over the table for a sound night’s sleep.

Both huts feature a well-equipped kitchen inside, and a firepit and barbecue outside – so you can choose where you’ll test out your culinary skills – and of course, that incredible hot tub to help those aperitifs go down a treat. Perhaps finish your evening with a round of storytelling and toasted marshmallows under the stars… bliss!

Owners Chloe and Kevin haven’t just provided everything you need, they’ve also made sure your chosen hut contains a folder that’s bursting with ideas of what’s best to see and do, and where’s best to eat and drink.

What the guests of Collie Shepherd Huts say

“This has been an amazing find! We’re so happy we came across this listing and stayed in this beautiful Shepherd’s Hut. It’s well equipped with everything, and this makes it such a perfect winter getaway. The wood burner is so easy to use and the kitchen stocked with all the essentials to have the most wonderful stay and be cosy. I loved the nice touches of Christmas and the highlight of all is the hot tub when you can gaze under the stars, it is perfect to use in this frosty weather. Thank you for an amazing getaway.”

“The shepherd’s hut was absolutely stunning. It was so fresh and clean and every little detail you can tell a lot of love and thought has gone into your huts, down to all the little extras you provided everything was available you would possibly need. The view and location is beautiful and the hot tub and firepit was lovely to sit and watch the stars of an evening. We shall defiantly be booking again. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and we had a lovely two days stay to just rest and recharge was just what we needed.”

“Looks old and quaint but is in fact modern and very well equipped. Set on a peaceful and self contained plot of lovely farm with beautiful views yet surrounded by many wonderful points of interest should you wish to venture out – Cheddar Gorge, Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Town etc. For a relatively new adventure over the past year or so, all the lovely little touches give you the impression they’ve been doing it for decades. A very different type of booking for us and one I am thoroughly glad we made.”
