Full description
A sumptuous, secluded retreat with a green roof, a wildflower garden, and double al fresco bathtubs, completely surrounded by idyllic views on a working family farm in Powys.

Blissfully tucked away amongst 300 picture-perfect acres of working Powys farmland, you'll feel like the only people in the world as you arrive at The Nest.

The ideal setting for a dreamlike escape into the arms of nature, this magnificent retreat blends beautifully into the landscape, boasting a green turf roof, a sweet-scented wildflower garden, and friendly neighbouring sheep and cows.

Enormous, gleaming windows and glass doors allow plenty of natural light to flood inside, as well as showcasing those awe-inspiring views to perfection... so even if it's raining, you can snuggle up on the plush sofa with a steaming mug of something lovely, and watch your cares float away on the clouds.

Whip up tasty meals in the fabulously equipped, hand-made kitchen (there's a dishwasher to take care of the cleaning up!) and devour them with your favourite people, comfortably sat around the sociable dining table.

If you prefer an al fresco feast, all you've got to do is take the steps that lead down to your firepit, where you can prepare a sizzling sunset supper. Here you'll also discover a bubbling hot tub that's primed for epic stargazing in that huge, clear night sky.

When it's finally time to turn in, you'll find two outrageously comfortable superking bedrooms ready and waiting. Both feature fresh linen, fluffy towels, and opulent en-suite facilities, so there'll be no awkward queuing for the bathroom late at night.

No queuing is a good thing, by the way, since it's likely you'll be lingering awhile over those view-filled morning freshen-ups. Not only is there an indulgent ‘wet room' rainfall shower, but a gorgeous freestanding bathtub, both positioned by huge windows (The Nest is so remotely situated, that there's no fear of onlookers!)

But if even that doesn't seem like quite enough scenery, you could fill the two al fresco bathtubs with bubbles instead, and gaze across the trees to those rolling hills... against a gentle soundtrack of birdsong and wildlife, loved one by your side, and a glass of wine in hand.

All that's left to do is work out how you'll spend this glorious slice of time at The Nest. You could grab a book and curl up in the swinging chair for a while, or if you really have to, use the WiFi to check in with the real world.

Otherwise, why not lace up those walking boots and head off on one of the many winding country trails that lead right from your doorstep?

While you won't find any pubs or shops in easy walking distance, a half-hour drive will take you to Ludlow, a market town that's famous for its mouth-watering local produce (ideal if you forgot to stock up on foodie supplies on your way to The Nest!)

There's plenty more to see and do in the local area, from visiting castle ruins to horse riding in the hills. Yet you may prefer pouring another glass of wine, breathing out, and getting wonderfully lost in The Nest's beautiful embrace.
