Located close to Hartington Village, and set amongst some of the UK's most exceptional walking country, Scaldersitch Farm will introduce you to a fresh and relaxed way of life in the Peak District, without compromising on luxury (think hot tubs, fluffy bath robes and soft bedding for starters!).
You'll find a gorgeous selection of individually-styled tipis and yurt accommodation here, all blending beautifully with their natural surroundings, and all equipped with coffee making facilities, private outdoor space, warming woodburning stoves...and all with wood-fired hot tubs, so you'll feel blissfully comfy whatever the weather. Add featherdown duvets and crisp linen, and you may never want to leave.
Set in a corner of the meadow, the aptly-named Whispering Trees Tipi looks out over Ecton Hill and Reapsmoor. Sleeping up to four people, you'll find handcrafted teak root furniture, cosy throws and plenty of cushions inside. Outside, you can make the most of those views with a four-seater wood-fired hot tub (just don't forget to pack that bottle of bubbles).
The Hartington Tipi is furnished with woollen throws, tweed and leather for a distinctly British countryside feel, complete with fresh views over the Peak District. Meanwhile, the Hygge Tipi is infused with contemporary Scandi style, allowing you to luxuriate in life's simple pleasures in a soul-soothing, candlelit space.
The Cuckoo Yurt sleeps up to five guests; the ideal choice for slightly larger groups. You'll find a well-equipped sideboard and a woodburning stove that's also suitable for cooking family feasts, along with a stunning skylight that allows you to watch the stars from the comfort of your featherdown duvets.
What about on-site facilities? The Old Dairy Washrooms have been lovingly converted from (you guessed it) the farm's old dairy. Here you'll find proper, flushing toilets and generous wet-room style showers, along with those all-important electric sockets, hairdryers and mirrors.
The communal Cartshed Barn Kitchen is the place to whip up countryside cuisine; spacious and well-equipped with everything you'll need. There's plenty of crockery and cutlery, along with gas hobs, a toaster, a fridge freezer...and even a dishwasher! Sit and chat the evening away with all those new friends you've made, over a hearty, home-prepared meal.
As if all that wasn't enough, the Wellness Yurt allows you to indulge in sumptuous treatments in the midst of nature, complete with a crackling fire and the soft glow of candlelight. Does relaxation get any better than this?
If by any chance you feel like venturing outside during your stay, a twenty-minute walk will take you into heartwarming Hartington, complete with its famous cheese shop, elegant tea rooms, and some of the best walking paths in the Peak District.
If you enjoy a good stroll you're in luck, because right from the gates of the farm are some of the most beautifully scenic walks you'll ever take (you'll find plenty of maps on site that will lead you to some of the best). Meanwhile, those feeling more energetic can climb Ecton Hill - the view from the top will be more than worth the effort!
Further afield, visit the spa town of Buxton, or take a tour of nearby Chatsworth House, complete with children's adventure playground for the little ones to enjoy.
If you're ready to turn the notion of a traditional camping holiday firmly on its head, then you're ready to experience the fun and luxury of life on Scaldersitch Farm. Simply pack up your favourite people and head for the hills!
Things to note

Tried and tested
"THE most perfect place. Everything was just amazing - the beds, the tubs, the bathrooms, the barn, the dressing gown - absolutely everything was thought of and just perfect. Thank you Ian and Catherine for making this the most beautiful place."
"We have had a brilliant stay at Scaldersitch Farm and are already telling anyone who will listen how great it was! The attention to detail was evident everywhere - from the handmade soaps, to the helpful walking guides and the toasting marshmallows! The beds were extremely warm and cosy and beautifully furnished. The washrooms were particularly luxurious and the barn - equipped with a fridge filled with yummy breakfast items, as well as a beautiful dining table - meant we were very comfortable even when we were eating! Our hosts were so lovely and made sure we were happy throughout our stay (which we were!) Thanks once again- would highly recommend."
"We came for my partners birthday. Catherine & Ian were great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Loved the kitchen barn & washroom, absolutely beautiful, and everything you need. Beds were super comfy too."
