The brainchild of travel journalist and artist Gerold Huber, Retro Rolling Rosita is a uniquely fun, refreshing and eco-friendly way to travel through the lush landscapes of Central Europe.

Retro Rolling Rosita comprises nine ultra-light and iconic 1960s caravans, gently refurbished and individually styled to retain their natural character. You’ll find everything you need for a fun country break inside, including cosy sleeping space and an equipped kitchenette.

Each vintage caravan is partnered with its very own electric tow car, meaning you can travel the villages and landscapes to your heart’s content, safe in the knowledge that your carbon footprint will be minimal.

You’ll find Rosita’s base camp stationed at Wittenbach, an East Swiss village located between St. Gallen and Lake Constance. You’ll be welcomed by the friendly team with a drink, some handy local knowledge and a test drive, and then it’s time to plan your trip in full! The perfect starting point for your holiday adventure, you’ll have many diverse locations to choose from, all within easy reach.

Maybe you’ll begin with the crystal-clear lakes and serene valleys of Appenzellerland, or perhaps you’d prefer the rural delights of Bavaria instead? If you’re not in the mood to travel too far, just fifteen minutes away is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St. Gallen, with its ornate Abbey Cathedral and a library housing ninth century books.

Now it’s time to choose your perfect travelling partners! Schulze is a rare artist’s caravan, with a restored wooden interior in ‘shabby chic’ style. Faithfully towed by Erika, you’ll find it easy to navigate those steep alpine passes!

Small and beautiful Mosquito is the ‘world’s lightest caravan’, ideal for two and perfectly refined. Her powerful towing partner is an electric convertible named Eva.
