As featured on Channel 4’s “Four in a Bed” Hawthorn Hideaway occupies an idyllic position, amongst two acres of Nottinghamshire woodland that borders Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and adjacent to the Chesterfield Canal.

The two cabins you’ll discover here, the wonderfully named Owl Lodge and Swan Lodge, have been individually designed and styled to help you and your loved one unwind in nature, yet with all the comforts of a luxury hotel suite.

But that’s not all. There’s a selection of soul-soothing on-site delights that include beauty treatments, a wood-fired sauna, an indoor barbecue cabin, and a range of goodie-stuffed hampers to indulge in!

Generously spaced apart from one-another, the insulated cabins boast double glazed windows and patio doors to showcase those peaceful woodland views… that is, when you’re not enjoying them from the comfort of your private deck, beautiful garden space with its feature day bed, or relaxing hot tub.

The cabins are completely self-contained, so you can expect luxurious facilities that include an en-suite shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher.

And since you’re on holiday, you can also expect to find sumptuous ‘extras’ at no additional cost, such as fluffy bathrobes, complimentary eco toiletries, and a locally sourced, goodie-packed breakfast hamper with freshly laid eggs direct from the owners’ chickens.

With every holiday indulgence covered, you’re free to chat the day away with your loved one, to a joyful soundtrack of birdsong and whispering trees (if you’re lucky, you may even catch sight of a kingfisher swooping across the pond.)

What the guests of Hawthorn Hideaway say

“We really enjoyed our stay at Hawthorn Hideaway from start to finish, we stayed in the Owl lodge and were greeted on arrival and shown around by Ronnie who made us feel very welcome. The complimentary breakfast hamper was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed, and all the cooking facilities in the lodge are also very easy to use. We spent some time in the local pubs which the hosts recommended and had a trip to Bawtry before arriving which we loved. The lodge itself was absolutely lovely and the wildlife and free range chickens just added to our time. Would recommend to anyone.”

“We stayed for 2 nights in Swan lodge and we had an amazing stay! Ronnie and Josephine were so welcoming and friendly and they done everything they could to make our stay 5*. They thought of every detail and the lodge and the grounds were beautiful and had a real charm! We loved using the hot tub, sauna and BBQ hut, which were all set up ready for us to use when we wanted. The breakfast hamper was fabulous too, we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway”

“I had the best birthday I’ve ever had primarily down to Hawthorn Hideaway. No detail spared in making your stay absolutely perfect. They’ve thought of everything (and more) – daily we were still finding little surprises. Breakfast goods provided, homemade cake, tiny canister of seasalt butter, and jams. I still think about that bed now I’m home, which is sad but everything was just incredible. I haven’t even mentioned the wood burner, hot tub, sauna with glass back, bbq hut with led lighting and cute dedicated canal seating, egg chair and personal fire pit. It rained for one entire day during our stay but it still didn’t dampen our mood. 100% best cabins I’ve stayed in. Thank you so much for everything – your hard work shows.”
