You might be forgiven for thinking that the grand, naturally awe-inspiring New Zealand landscapes speak so well for themselves, that there’d be no need to waste time and energy on crafting an ‘unusual’ retreat.
This is prime Lord of the Rings country, after all!
Yet with creative escapes that include glinting glass pods, a hand-built ‘spaceship’, and reconditioned grain silos (yes, really), it won’t just be the amazing scenery that sparks your senses.
(There may even be a Hobbit ‘hotel’ or two to choose from – and who could possibly resist acting out the role of Bilbo Baggins in such a deliciously authentic setting?)
