Deliciously secluded on a 1,500-acre pine forest in southern Vermont – otherwise known as the Green Mountain State – Vermont Mirror House is an impossibly scenic and stylish retreat for two.

Completely surrounded by towering pines and a shimmering beaver pond, the views are incredible from every angle.  You’ll have ample opportunity to savour them all, whether you’re relaxing by the huge al fresco fireplace or from the sumptuous, glass-walled living room.

Other delights include your very own sauna and outdoor shower, mere steps away from the main house, and a spacious kitchen/diner that’s packed with modern conveniences.

When it’s time for bed, simply take the spiral staircase down to the cosy kingsize bedroom, primed for sound nights of slumber.  Enjoy a lazy lie-in, and then it’s on to whatever you feel like doing with the day!

Though it won’t seem like it, the house is minutes away from Vermont’s thriving arts and culture district, with plenty of shops and restaurants to while away some time in.  There’s also an intriguing array of walking trails and country roads to be explored, some starting right from the doorstep.  

But if you’re in the mood to just breathe out and relax, you could be in no better – or more breath-taking – place.
