An original Art Deco building that dates back to the mid-1930s, you’re guaranteed a fun and elegant break at Twentieth Century B&B.

Beautifully positioned in Birchington-on-Sea, mere minutes from the beach at Minnis Bay, you’ll be very well placed to explore all the delights of Kent. There’s just one problem: you’ll need to tear yourselves away first!

Friendly owners Kat and Spencer have worked tirelessly to transform the building into an authentic Art Deco paradise, using a combination of their own beloved paraphernalia, carefully sourced period furnishings, and sympathetic renovations. The original Canadian oak flooring has been restored to its former glory, while the 1930’s-style windows are based on Kat’s childhood Art Deco dolls’ house!

The thoughtful detail extends to four rooms, three fabulous double en-suite rooms and one (David Bowie) that has the sole use of the adjoining bathroom, each one named and themed in celebration of the house’s eclectic history. Tudor Gates is furnished in artistic Mid Century style, in homage to the former film-writing owner, while Amy Johnson is an aviation-styled 1930’s time capsule.

Feeling swish? Then check into the lavish Art Deco suite, complete with a scenic sun terrace, and named after the previous land owners Baron and Lady Carson. Last but not least, the David Bowie room is decorated with funky artwork that celebrates the iconic musician’s early career…along with a 1970’s space-age bed!

Each room is equipped with high quality bedding, a digital radio and TV, and an assortment of tea and coffee (not forgetting those holiday essentials – a hairdryer, and plenty of fresh milk).

Settle yourselves in for a sound night’s sleep – there’s so much to do in the local area that you’re going to need it.
