You’ll find Khina Cottage, found at Kent’s North Foreland Lighthouse, surrounded by lawned gardens and set well away from the cliffs, meaning even before you’ve set out for the day, there are plenty of safe outdoor areas for the kids (big kids included) to play in.

There’s plenty to delight you inside this two-bedroomed cottage too, with its traditional décor and cosy beds all steeped in the comforts of home.  A well-equipped country-style kitchen and separate dining room are ideal settings for home-cooked meals and cosy family conversation, while the welcoming living area is the perfect place to curl up with a good book.

The view-filled, shared one-acre garden and patio is the place for al-fresco catch-ups while the kids use up plenty of playful energy to their hearts’ content, and with up to two well-behaved dogs welcome too, why not bring your best friends along for a deserved holiday?

Days out are well catered-for, with Joss Bay’s wonderful sandy beach just a few minutes’ walk from the cottage, and a fantastic pub just ten minutes away.  The old town of Broadstairs is steeped in literary charm, enjoying a famed association with Charles Dickens and holding many festivals throughout the year.

Return to your cosy cottage and put the kids to bed, then open a bottle of wine and relax in front of the fire.  After all, you’ve more than earned it!
