Perfect for breezy coastal getaways with family or friends, Thyme & Tide is a laid-back beachfront retreat secluded in the Kent village of Seasalter, near bustling Whitstable.

(Historic Seasalter’s long stretches of beach are pure doggy heaven… so it’s handy that up to two well-behaved pooches are also welcome to stay!)

Although the retreat has only recently been restored to an extremely high standard, there’s a soothing vintage feel throughout; characterised by original artwork, vibrant décor, and plenty of locally-sourced elements.

There’s a log-burning stove to warm your evenings, and a Freeview TV with Amazon Firestick to keep you entertained… that is, when you’re not out in the enclosed coastal garden, sharing stories around the firepit as the sea rolls gently in the distance.

Choose from two cosy bedrooms; a double with en-suite facilities, and a twin with a separate bathroom. Whichever you opt for, you can look forward to a sound night’s sleep, before morning coffee out on the furnished deck, breathing in plenty of fresh sea air.

Test legs and paws to destruction on one of those long, lovely beach walks, or grab your bike and see how far you can pedal! In one direction lies Whitstable, and the other Faversham, so there’s plenty to see and do.
