Owned by James Thomson OBE – Scotland’s premier restauranteur and hotelier, no less! – the atmosphere is one of ultimate indulgence. Serving mouth-watering local cuisine and award-winning wine, the stunning on-site restaurant is set within the original oak-panelled Witchery itself.

Meanwhile, nine lavish, Gothic-style suites offer something truly special, including velvet-lined walls, baroque red-and-gold décor, and large, opulent bathrooms complete with free-standing silver baths.  

Some of the suites even look out over Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile, or across to the intricate Old Town.

And as if all that wasn’t enough, you’ll be served a delectable in-room breakfast hamper each morning… so if you don’t feel like getting out of that huge oak four-poster bed, you won’t have to!
