A stay at The Vintage House is an absolute must for those who appreciate the unique atmosphere of times past…times that were steeped in glamour, style and a certain sense of quality.
Noted as one of the ‘Top 100 Holidays on the Planet’ by The Times, you can rest assured that such classic quality has continued well into the present day, with this stunning holiday home that sleeps up to 4 people, located in the charming coastal town of Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
Open the front door and walk right into the late 1920s, with wooden floorboards, cosy rugs and lovingly restored furniture throughout that was originally bought for the home back when it was built in 1928.
Feel as though time has stopped, completely freeing you from your hectic life in the present day, as the welcoming lounge with its warming open fire invites you to kick off your shoes and relax on the cosy sofa! Large windows provide calming views of the green garden, as you cradle a steaming mug of tea.
Walk through the hallway to the kitchen and discover the original range cooker and hot water boiler – along with a handy pantry. You’ll find a more contemporary – and working! – cooker for you to prepare plenty of tasty vintage-style feasts.
Enjoy your meals in the peaceful dining room, imbued with the serenity of 1920s tradition with its original furniture, hearty open fire and restored bay window that looks out onto the front garden.
When it’s time to sleep, take the stairs up to two beautiful bedrooms. The master bedroom attracts plenty of light, looking out over the front and back gardens, and houses a cosy fireplace and an expertly restored 1920s double bed dressed in fresh, crisp cotton. The second characterful bedroom looks out over the front garden and features comfy twin beds.
